Primary and Secondary Research for Documentary

The main purpose and description of my Documentary:

My Documentary is about how I as a person dealt with the coronavirus pandemic and how it affected my day to day activities, the main purpose of the Documentary was to show other people that they weren't going through it alone. Ever since the pandemic started, mental health has deteriorated massively. Which of course is a red flag. We have all been stuck indoors for a long period of time, been through three lockdowns which have prevented us from seeing close friends and other family members. I wanted to put a message across to people that it will get better, if we all stick together and play our part in protecting ourselves and others around us then we will be able to beat this virus.

My Primary Research: To prepare for my Documentary, I gathered some primary research to get me started. I conducted this research myself, I went out and took some observations by noting down what I could include into my documentary. I decided to give my peers a quick questionnaire on their opinions of lockdown and how they dealt with it and what they did to keep themselves busy. I didn't conduct in as much primary research as I did for my secondary research because I felt that my documentary mostly needed secondary research.

My Secondary Research: For my Documentary I gathered some secondary research, to show the audience the evidence of the major event I was describing, which is coronavirus and how it has impacted the world in the short space of a year. I chose to include videos in my documentary, I thought that they would be more effective for my audience than research like articles, reports or government documents. It also supports the purpose of the documentary as it shows additional perspectives.
